【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardestablishesasystemofclassificationofsealedradioactivesourcesbasedontestperformanceandspecifiesgeneralrequirements,performancetests,productiontests,markingandcertification.Itprovidesasetoftestsbywhichthemanufacturerofsealedradioactivesourcescanevaluatethesafetyofhisproductsinuseandbywhichtheuserofsuchsourcescanselecttypeswhicharesuitablefortherequiredapplication,especiallywhereprotectionagainstthereleaseofradioactivematerial,withconsequentexposuretoionizingradiation,isconcerned.ThisInternationalStandardmayalsobeofguidancetoregulatingauthorities.Thetestsfallintoseveralgroups,including,forexample,exposuretoabnormallyhighandlowtemperatures,andavarietyofmechanicaltests.Eachtestcanbeappliedinseveraldegreesofseverity.Thecriterionofpassorfaildependsonleakageofthecontentsofthesealedradioactivesource.NOTE1LeakagetestmethodsaregiveninISO9978.Alistofthemaintypicalapplicationsofsealedradioactivesourceswithasuggestedtestscheduleforeachapplicationisgivenintable4.Thetestsareminimumrequirementscorrespondingtotheapplicationsinthebroadestsense.Factorstobeconsideredforapplicationsinespeciallysevereconditionsarelistedin4.2.NOTE2Manufacturersandtestorganizationsshouldpreparetheirownprogrammeforqualityassurance,inaccordancewiththerequirementsofISO9000toISO9004oranequivalentnationalstandard.ThisInternationalStandardmakesnoattempttoclassifyeitherthedesignofsourcesandtheirmethodofconstructionortheircalibrationintermsoftheradiationemitted.RadioactivematerialsinsideanuclearreactorincludingsealedsourcesandfuelelementsarenotcoveredbythisInternationalStandard.
